David Arneke, Board Chair
David is a writer, editor and designer with experience in journalism, corporate public relations and philanthropy, and higher education. He has served as president of Preservation Greensboro and as a member of the Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission. He is a 30-year resident of the College Hill Historic District. Since 2017, he has written and edited PiedmontHistoricHomes.com, a guide to historic homes for sale in the Piedmont Triad area.
Ira Sheldon, Vice Chair
Ira is president and principal broker at Sheldon Development Group in Greensboro. He specializes in buyer and tenant representation, leasing and sales, development services, property management, design process and direction, and team assembly and management. Ira has served as senior project manager for regional and national architecture firms and in senior construction management and divisional operations manager for regional and national construction firms. Ira assembled and led teams in more than 20 states for projects totaling more than $400 million in installed construction value. Projects ranged from $150,000 office renovations to $25 million commercial and multi-venue entertainment centers.
Jesse Arnett, Secretary, White Oak Residential Design
Jesse established White Oak Residential Design in Greensboro in 2016. He graduated from Page High School and then from North Carolina State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture. After serving in youth ministry for five years, he returned to the design field in 2011. Working for a highly regarded local home builder, Jesse gained valuable, practical experience in construction management and estimating, in addition to his design work. He has designed dozens of projects around the state, ranging from single-room renovations to large additions and new custom homes.
Jesse is a former member and chairman of the City of Greensboro’s Historic Preservation Commission.

Greg is founder, president and a principal of Porter & Company, Accountants and Consultants, in Greensboro.

Lisa Bricker, AIA, NCARB, Golden Leaf Design Studio
Lisa has a deep love for history and the stories that historic buildings can reveal. As a Historic Architect and Principal at Golden Leaf Design Studio, she contributed to the preservation of significant properties across the Southeast — from museums to academic and residential buildings — always with a focus on preserving character while adapting spaces for contemporary use. Her passion for history and commitment to thoughtful design made joining the Trust’s board a natural fit. Marsh D. Prause, J.D., Allman Spry
Marsh is a director and shareholder in Allman Spry Attorneys at Law in Winston-Salem. He is an environmental and land-use attorney.
